Friends throw man from balcony for 'refusing to drink with them'
This is the horror moment a group of men threw their friend from a balcony for allegedly refusing to drink with them.
The violent thugs were said to have trespassed into the house of their friend, identified in local reports as grocery store owner Ranjit Yadav, and invited him to drink alcohol in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, on May 25.
When Ranjit turned them down, they reportedly assaulted him and shoved him off the terrace of the single-storey house.
Disturbing footage shows the men flinging Ranjit off the roof, with the hapless man smashing onto the pavement with a gruesome crack.
Other people on the street were then seen approaching Ranjit. However, instead of helping him, they proceeded to further beat him as a lone local tried to shield the injured resident.
Ranjit survived the attack and was rushed to a hospital. He has also filed a report with the Madyeganj Police Station.
Speaking in a video message, Raveena Tyagi, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Lucknow, said three individuals have been arrested over the incident that happened on May 25.
She said: 'They were booked under the charges of under IPC sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (insult), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 452 (house trespass). Subsequently, during the investigation, additional charges under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (common intention) were added to the FIR.'
An investigation is ongoing to find a fourth person suspected to be involved in the attack.
