Terrified family members fled as a massive fireball erupted from a concrete floor explosion in southwest China.

The dramatic CCTV footage was captured in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province on May 24.

A family had gathered around a large table in their courtyard, preparing to enjoy a meal. Suddenly, a loud explosion startled everyone, prompting them to quickly move away from the table.

It was later discovered that the concrete floor beneath the table had exploded due to the heat.

According to a man wearing a white top, they had placed some bricks on the concrete floor for a barbecue and used dust as padding, considering the risk of an explosion.

However, it appeared that these precautions were insufficient. As the bricks enclosed the area, the force of the explosion travelled directly upwards towards the table.

Fortunately, no family members were injured.

On May 24, 2024, a barbecue night in the yard of a family in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou was interrupted by an unexpected explosion.

After a day of farm work, the family was sitting around a large table in the courtyard and ready to enjoy a meal when a loud explosion startled everyone, causing them to get up and move away from the table in a hurry. It turned out that the concrete floor under the table had exploded due to the heat, as if a firework had been set off in the center of the table.

According to the filmer, the man in the white top in the video footage, they piled up some bricks on the concrete floor for the barbecue at the time, also padded the floor with some dust considering that the concrete could explode, but apparently it didn't seem to be enough. Since the area was surrounded by bricks, the direction of the explosion went straight up to the table. Luckily no one in the family was hurt, except that they were all startled.
