EgyptAir CEO Elnakady Yehia said his company will continue to expand its presence in the Chinese market by adding more destinations and flights.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): ELNAKADY YEHIA, EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman & CEO
"We are flying like 16 flights per week, and we are expecting to increase flights to 18 flights per week by July. In the future, we're gonna reach 21 flights. We are flying to Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai, of course. So we are expecting to fly to Hong Kong and different cities. If we are talking about China and Egypt, both countries have great histories, so that's why the leisure flights and even the business flights between Egypt and China start to grow up."
Yehia also expressed his optimism about the prospect of China-Egypt cooperation.
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): ELNAKADY YEHIA, EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman & CEO
"I think there are a lot of chances, talking about the opportunities between Egypt and China in the business fields. We signed already MOUs (memorandums of understanding) about the kinds of business we intended to do in the aviation field. So we have chances for the future's cooperations between Chinese companies and Egyptian companies."
