Austintown, OH, USA - May 5, 2024

A Hermitage resident has entered a plea of not guilty to Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) charges following an incident where a State Trooper intercepted his SUV traveling against traffic on Interstate 80.

In the early hours of May 5, an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer made a decisive U-turn on I-80 in Austintown after observing an SUV navigating in the wrong direction.

The driver, identified as 50-year-old Devin Montgomery, informed the trooper upon being pulled over that he had consumed approximately five alcoholic beverages.

Subsequent to a field sobriety evaluation, Montgomery's blood alcohol content was recorded at .185 via a breathalyzer test.

Alongside the OVI charge, Montgomery also faces citations for driving against traffic.
