Three paramilitary soldiers were hospitalised after falling victim to a scorching heatwave affecting Nalanda, Bihar, on May 31.

The soldiers were engaged in duties during the country's elections when they fell ill.

The last phase of Lok Sabha election voting is to be held on June 1 during the scorching heat in Nalanda district,Bihar. For this, para military forces have also been called from outside the district.

Due to the scorching heat, three paramilitary soldiers engaged in election duty became victims of heatwave. Two soldiers have been admitted to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for treatment while one soldier is undergoing treatment at Kalyan Bigha Health Centre.
BSF jawans Atar Singh and Teg Bahadur Chhatri were deputed to Nalanda district for election duty. Lok Sabha elections are to be held tomorrow but he became a victim of the scorching heat in the district.

After receiving the information, Sadar SDPO Sanjay Jaiswal reached Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital to inquire about the condition of the soldiers. Where he inquired about the well-being of the soldiers.

BSF Company Commander Ramu Bahadur said that the soldiers had come to the booth along with the presiding officer to do duty. He told that he has got heat stroke. At present everyone is being treated in the hospital.
