The third batch of Chinese medical teams to Kiribati visited a middle school in Tarawa, the capital of Kiribati, and held free medical check-ups and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training recently.
Rheumatism and congenital heart disease are among the major health problems threatening the local young people in Kiribati.
The Chinese medical team conducted health examinations for more than 650 teachers and students at the school, including screening for rheumatic and congenital heart diseases.
The Chinese medical team also donated multivitamin supplements to the students.
The Chinese medical team is scheduled to visit more local schools to help local students grow up healthily.
