At approximately 7:11 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Avenue K and 17th Street West. Upon arrival, they found a Tesla engulfed in smoke and flames. The fire was swiftly extinguished, but eyewitness accounts and footage from the scene suggest that the electric vehicle's battery may have been the source of the blaze, although this has not been officially confirmed. As a precautionary measure, the Tesla was relocated to a safe area, and the surrounding roads were temporarily closed until hazmat teams arrived to assess the battery and ensure the scene was secure.
