TikTok user 'jarvismountainoutdoors' discovered a hummingbird in her yard with a broken wing, unable to fly in Marion, Indiana, on May 28.

She carefully picked up the bird, provided water, and placed it in a small box to protect it from predators. Over the next two nights, she created a larger box with food, twigs, and dried grass to keep the bird comfortable.

Eventually, she transported the hummingbird to a wildlife habitat for further care, ensuring its safe recovery.

We found a hummingbird on the ground with one of her wings sticking out. She wasn't able to fly. I picked her up and got her to drink then put her in a little box to keep her from predators. I ended up making her a larger box with food, twigs, and dried grass and kept her safe for 2 nights. I then took her to a wildlife habitat for care.
