A student raised eyebrows when she was given a whole roasted duck at her graduation ceremony - instead of a bunch of flowers,

Traditionally, bouquets are handed to students after the hard work of the university results at the celebratory event.

But there are always some proud families who are particularly creative, as was the case of this young woman who graduated from Guangdong Technology College in Guangdong, China.

Video footage was taken while some of the students were posing for a class photo and as the camera panned around there was the young female student with two bouquets, one of them the traditional fresh flowers, but the other a carefully wrapped up roasted duck.

She seemed quite pleased with the alternative gift, and was even seen giving a peck on its head.
