Indian Army Officer save infants and kids from flooded house in northeastern India

In the midst of the devastating floods in northeastern India’s Manipur, an Indian army team rescued infants and small children from the rising waters.


The incident took place at Imphal East District on June 3.


Visuals showed amidst a flooded home, army personnel carefully rescued a family. Among them was a tiny baby. With gentle hands and cautious steps, the rescue team ensured the baby's safety as they navigated the swirling waters, a beacon of hope in the midst of the storm.


The Indian Army on the eighth day of the flood-like crisis in the Imphal Valley of Manipur successfully evacuated 75 stranded individuals including children and newly born from Dewlahland in Imphal East district on June 3, 2024. Due to the army's prompt action, the flood relief teams were able to ensure the safe relocation of the rescued persons to more secure areas.


Relief materials were reportedly distributed in several flood-affected areas, including Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Jiribam, Noney, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong, Chandel, Churachandpur, Senapati, and Kakching. The Army will continue to provide support to the flood-affected regions. Rescue and relief operations in the region are still underway.
