Out-of-control three-wheeler crashes into outdoor diners due to driver's misoperation in southern China
An out-of-control three-wheeler crashed into outdoor diners as an elderly man misoperated the vehicle in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in Chengdu City in Sichuan Province on June 3, shows a three-wheeler suddenly veering out of control, making a sharp left turn and directly hitting four men dining outside a restaurant. Amidst the continuous crashing sounds, panic ensued, and chaos erupted at the scene.
It took three full spins before the tricycle finally came to a halt with the help of bystanders.
The first person struck down was a man in a light blue shirt, knocked to the ground along with overturned chairs and dishes, creating a harrowing scene. Subsequently, another man in white was also hit, experiencing multiple collisions and falls.
Fortunately, after medical examination, the injured men and their colleagues were found to have suffered only minor scrapes and shock.
Upon inquiry, the injured man in white and his colleagues expressed forgiveness towards the elderly tricycle rider. They believed it was an accident caused by operational error rather than malicious intent.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
