Man narrowly avoids being thrown out of makeshift 'surfing pool' on truck in northern China
A man narrowly avoided being thrown out of a makeshift "surfing pool" on a truck in northern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province on May 31.
An unconventional "surfing" spectacle has captured the attention of many. Unlike traditional water surfing, the central figure of this event was a semi-trailer truck.
Several daring individuals and children experienced a distinctive sense of surfing exhilaration within the adapted semi-trailer container. However, one participant narrowly avoided being ejected from the vehicle due to inadequate brake control by the driver.
The rear section of the semi-trailer container had been meticulously converted into a makeshift "surfing pool". The enclosure was securely sealed with dual layers of plastic sheeting and colourful tarpaulin to prevent any water leakage.
Subsequently, a substantial volume of water was introduced into the container to create a substantial "swimming pool". Notably, what captivated attention was the periodic acceleration and abrupt braking manoeuvres executed by the truck driver to replicate wave effects akin to surfing.
This innovative approach to surfing swiftly ignited fervent discussions on social media platforms. One online user remarked, "This truly elevates trucks to new heights and evokes sensations reminiscent of Maldives!" Another quipped, "This is genuine 'land surfing', showcasing Taiyuan residents' adeptness at play!"
The video was provided by local media with permission.
