Clara Marina Brugada Molina, 60, won the elections to the head of Mexico City, according to preliminary official results, so that officialdom will maintain control of the government of the Mexican capital.
Brugada Molina was a candidate for the "Together we make history" coalition, formed by the Morena, Partido del Trabajo and Partido Verde Ecologista of Mexico.

The future head of government of Mexico City proposes the creation of a "Feminist Utopia City", a plan to guarantee women’s rights that was presented last December at the event "Utopia of economic development: the city we dream".

Since then, she has been the flag bearer for the government in Mexico City.

Brugada Molina, born in the Mexican capital, ran for election as the latest mayor of Iztapalapa, the largest mayor in Mexico City, with more than 9.2 million inhabitants.
