USA: SpaceX Successfully Launches Falcon 9 with 20 Starlink Satellites
Cape Canaveral, FL, USA - June 4, 2024
In a dazzling display of technological prowess, SpaceX achieved yet another milestone on Tuesday, June 4 evening as it launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 20 Starlink satellites, including 13 equipped with Direct to Cell capabilities, into low-Earth orbit.
The liftoff, a spectacle against the Florida night sky, occurred at 10:16 p.m. ET from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Viewers worldwide were treated to the breathtaking event, with a replay of the launch available for those who missed it.
This mission was particularly notable as it marked the 20th flight for the Falcon 9's first-stage booster. The booster had previously supported a series of critical missions, including CRS-22, Crew-3, Turksat 5B, Crew-4, CRS-25, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G, mPOWER-a, PSN SATRIA, Telkomsat Merah Putih 2, and 10 Starlink missions, underscoring SpaceX's commitment to reusability and cost-effective space travel.
Following stage separation, the first stage executed a flawless landing on the "Just Read the Instructions" droneship stationed in the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. The successful recovery of the booster further solidifies SpaceX's position as a leader in sustainable space exploration.
