Firefighters rescued a motorist who became trapped in a flooded dam while attempting to forcefully drive across in southern China.

The video was filmed in Liuzhou City in Guangxi Autonomous Region on May 31.

The electric car lost balance due to the turbulent water flow, leaving the driver trapped inside with the situation turning dire.

Upon arrival, rescue teams found the vehicle stuck in the middle of the flooded dam, tilted, with water entering the vehicle, causing it to lose power.

To rescue the trapped motorist, rescuers set up anchor points on the shore's electric poles using two safety ropes. One end of the rope was secured to one rescuer, while another rescuer, equipped with a life jacket, waded through the water towards the stranded vehicle to transfer the motorist to safety.

According to the driver, he had managed to cross flooded areas before, but today's force might have been stronger, resulting in the unfortunate incident.
