A group of diplomatic envoys and representatives from 15 countries and international organizations are visiting China's Guizhou Province.

They were impressed by the development of modern agriculture and smart agriculture in China after visiting a smart farm in Qingzhen City.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): IVEN ZYUULU, Zambian ambassador to China
"I think these are the areas where we really need cooperation.  We are an agricultural country, but to a large extent, we are more labor intensive, not so much mechanized. And because of that, our outputs and productivity has a lot of room for improvements. So with the smart agriculture, we can see that there's a lot of potential and we can produce a lot to benefit our people."

SOUNDBITE 2 (French): SORY KOUYATE, Guinean economic counselor to China
"I was very inspired by visiting the smart agriculture project, and I hope there will be one in my country, because this is an innovation I haven't ever seen before. Soilless cultivation technique is important and we'd like to introduce it to Guinea. The vegetables grow well, and they are good for health. So I think it is feasible to introduce this technology into Guinea."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Japanese): KAMBAYSHI TETSUYA, Director of Shanghai Office of Nagano Prefecture, Japan
"I think it is also suitable to promote smart agriculture project in my hometown, and I benefited a lot from the visit. In our country, we focus on small-scale agricultural production and do not have such a large scale of farming development. We may use technologies for cooperation in the future."

From last Sunday through this Friday, these foreign visitors are having an immersive tour around Guizhou to explore China's achievements in big data innovation and infrastructure.
