USA: Student Stabbed Outside High School Graduation Night in South El Monte

LASD and LACoFD received 911 calls around 9:20 p.m. of a student who was stabbed at a graduation at South El Monte High School at 1001 Durfee Avenue in the city of South El Monte. One student was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition but is expected to survive. It is unclear at this time if the student was one of the students graduating or just a student at the high school. Unknown at this time if LASD has anyone in custody or if the suspect is still outstanding. According to sources, the student was stabbed when a fight erupted outside the school as the graduation ceremony was ending.
