Man jumps from government building as safety net saves him
A man jumped off a government building but was saved by a safety net.
The individual reportedly attempted to take his own life by leaping from the top floor of the Maharashtra government's administrative offices in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on June 6.
Footage shows the man tangled in the safety net while holding a bottle and a sign. He can be seen telling bystanders to stay away and begging them to leave him alone.
Moments later, two police officers rescued him and brought him to safety.
Officials praised the safety net for fulfilling its function to stop distressed people from leaping to their death inside the building.
