Talented Chinese man creates wheat grain artwork to encourage university entrance exam candidates
A man utilised grains of wheat to craft a lifelike painting titled "Carp Jumping Over the Dragon Gate," extending wishes of success to students participating in the college entrance exams in China.
The video was captured in Binzhou City in Shandong Province on June 5.
Born with a passion for art, the 32-year-old man named Zhou has always had a knack for identifying and utilising natural materials around him for his creations.
It took him four hours to conceive and complete this masterpiece in his backyard. The carp in the painting leap vividly, as if striving to surmount the Dragon Gate, symbolising the spirit of overcoming obstacles and striving for progress.
Explaining his choice of theme, Zhou expressed his desire to cheer on the students about to take the college entrance exams.
In traditional Chinese culture, "Carp Jumping Over the Dragon Gate" signifies transcending hardships to achieve success, serving as a metaphor for life's leaps.
Through this artwork, Zhou hopes to preemptively congratulate the examinees for their triumphs in the university entrance exams, wishing them a place of honour on the golden list.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
