Miami, FL, USA - June 4, 2024

The Argentina national team, which was attended by Lionel Messi, held its firsts training sessions at the Inter Miami facilities, where they began their preparation for the Copa America 2024 in the United States, a tournament in which they will be looking to retain their crown.

The team led by coach Lionel Scaloni had a practice that lasted about an hour and a half, in which they worked in one of the gyms and then worked on the fields in two of the fields that David Beckham's club has, where Argentina will continue its preparation for the defence of the title.

Although the players worked in different spaces, as they were divided into groups that were divided between the gym and the fields, in which they performed exercises with and without ball, the training was completed with ball work in reduced space.

The national team will make its debut on 20 June against Canada in the Copa America, but before that they will face two friendly preparations, against Ecuador on 9 June in Chicago and Guatemala on Friday 14 June.

On the other hand, Scaloni is awaiting the arrivals of Franco Armani and Gonzalo Montiel on Tuesday. The River goalkeeper will join later due to his River commitments, while the defender became a father for the first time in the last few hours and was therefore allowed to join later.
