STORYLINE:
A delegation of ambassadors and senior diplomats from over 20 countries, including Madagascar, Jordan, Nepal and Slovakia, visited Lanzhou, Dunhuang and other cities in China's Gansu Province from Wednesday to Saturday.
Madagascar's ambassador to China, who once came to Lanzhou 20 years ago, was impressed by the changes in the region.

"Hello, Lanzhou! I am the Ambassador of Madagascar to China. I know Lanzhou. I once came to Lanzhou 20 years ago. And now I don't know Lanzhou. When I was here 20 years ago, the Yellow River was very yellow. And now in the river banks, there are many buildings, very big buildings. I am very happy to see that."
The Yellow River's mainstream and more than 20 tributaries of it run through Lanzhou.
The city has intensified efforts to ensure better protection of the Yellow River over the years.
