Storyline:
A witness on Thursday recounted the heart-wrenching experience of seeing Israeli forces bomb a school housing displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Conducted overnight by the Israeli Air Force, the airstrike targeted a school run by UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, killing more than 30 people and wounding a large number of others.

After the bombing, a correspondent of the China Global Television Network (CGTN) visited the damaged school and heard harrowing details from refugees in the camp.

Shook by the violence and suffering, the woman evoked a line from the Quran.

Israel Defense Forces attacked a Hamas compound inside the school in the Nuseirat area during the night, eliminating many saboteurs who participated in an attack on October 7, 2023, said Avichay Adraee, Israeli military spokesperson, in a statement on Thursday.

The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 36,731, the Hamas-run health authorities said in a press statement on Friday.
