USA: Double Homicide Wrong-Way Crash With CHP Briefing in Ventura

CHP Ventura officers responded to reports of a wrong-way vehicle traveling southbound in northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway at State Beaches.
The wrong-way vehicle, described as a Volkswagen Jetta, collided head-on with a Nissan Versa on the northbound 101 just north Seaward Ave.
Both occupants in the Nissan were killed in the crash.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI as well as two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
The northbound 101 Freeway remained closed at Seaward Avenue for the remainder of the investigation.
