This is the moment dozens of passengers helped push a train after a fire in India.

The commuters were at the Kiul Junction Station in Bihar when the engine on one of the carriages burst into flames on June 8.

Footage shows the men trying to move the locomotive forward in a bid to keep the blaze from spreading. The carriage with number 32908 beside the engine was engulfed and destroyed and the onlookers helped while waiting for firetrucks to arrive.

The burning portion of the train was successfully separated from the other carriages with their help.

A team from the Lakhisarai Fire department is investigating the cause of the fire while no one was reported hurt.
