CHP received a 911 call from a victim who was shot in the neck on the EB 10 Freeway just west of the 605 Freeway in the El Monte area. The victim continued to follow the suspect vehicle eastbound on the 10 Freeway into the city of Pomona. The victim was able to exit the freeway at Fairplex Drive and Murchison Avenue in the city of Pomona. A CHP sergeant stopped with the victim and immediately rendered aid. The victim's neck was bleeding due to the glass from the BB shattering the windshield. There was a female passenger and a dog inside the victim's car. Just the driver was struck with debris from the windshield. The victim was checked out by Los Angeles County  Fire Department personnel but was not transported. CHP was able to locate the suspect vehicle and took a male and a female into custody on the westbound 10 Freeway at the Via Verde Street exit in the city of San Dimas. CHP also located a black BB gun inside the vehicle. CHP officers from the East Los Angeles area Office was on scene and taking over the investigation since the shooting occurred in the East Los Angeles area.
