Protesters set tyres alight outside Tirana's city hall on June 10 in a demonstration demanding the city's mayor, Erion Veliaj, to be removed from office.

The protest comes after a "5D" file lead to the arrests of three municipal officials.

The protesters set fire to the tires in front of the Tirana Municipality during the opposition rally in front of the institution.
The fire was extinguished by the officers standing in front of the City Hall building to prevent the protesters from approaching the institution.

Meanwhile, there were tensions between the officers and the protesters, where the latter threw hard objects at them and a police officer was injured after being hit in the eye with a bottle.
Meanwhile, a metal barrier has been placed in front of the City Hall, just like in other protests.

This is the 11th protest that is taking place in front of the state institution by the opposition, until the mayor Erjon Veliaj is removed, while the protesters have warned that they will not withdraw.
