A heartwarming scene unfolded at the Coronado National Memorial on June 5, as a bear sought relief from the scorching Arizona heat by taking an impromptu dip at the visitor center.
In a video published by the memorial, the bear can be seen leisurely plopping into the water, enjoying a refreshing drink to beat the heat. As onlookers marveled at the unusual sight, the bear then ventured closer to the visitor center window, perhaps seeking further respite from the oppressive temperatures.
In a statement accompanying the video, Coronado National Memorial officials quipped, "What to do on a hot day in southern Arizona? Plop down in the water and get a drink of course!" The cinnamon-colored black bear's unexpected visit provided a delightful moment for visitors and staff alike.
