USA: Critical Injury House Fire in Vermont Vista

A 70-year-old woman was in critical condition Monday morning as the result of a house fire at 520 W 118th St. LAFD responded and was able to achieve a quick knockdown on the fire inside the home. Thick smoke could be seen filling all rooms of the two story structure. Neighbors initially reported two persons missing who lived in the home, but after an extensive search, only one female victim was located. The second person expected to be in the home has not been located as of the time of this writing. The victim was transported to a local are hospital in critical condition with CPR in progress.
