Pomona PD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating an officer-involved shooting at the scene of a traffic collision at the intersection of North White Avenue and West Holt Avenue in the city of Pomona. One person was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. Unknown at this time if the suspect was transported with a gunshot wound or an innocent bystander that was involved in the crash. Unknown at this time what led up to the officer-involved shooting and the crash. Pomona PD has a large area taped off as they investigate the officer-involved shooting.

UPDATE: The Pomona PD released a statement regarding the incident Monday morning –

Officers are investigating an officer-involved shooting in the 600 block of West Holt Avenue. Preliminary reports indicate the suspect pointed a firearm at officers and an officer involved shooting occurred. No officers were injured. The suspect was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office is enroute to assume the investigation. Please avoid the area until further notice. No additional information is available at this time.
