STORYLINE:

STANDUP (English): ZHENG BOFEI, Xinhua correspondent
"As Europe's largest tech event, the London Tech Week attracted thousands of entrepreneurs. We thus took this opportunity to interview some of the participants about their opinions on UK-China cooperation in terms of the tech sector."

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): NEIL BRIGDEN, Director of Foreign Direct Investment at London & Partners
"Chinese investment into London in the last couple of years has been really strong. We've got a big delegation of Chinese companies here at London Tech Week. I think the prospect of Chinese investment in London is looking really strong."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): ROB DURRANT, Head of Public Relations and Events at OMODA UK
"I think recent research showed that the UK was the market, probably the biggest set for EV expansion in the future. So I think EVs are growing in the UK, probably more so than anywhere in Europe. And I think the ability that we (OMODA as a Chinese brand) have to offer, an EV that is advanced, that has the technology, but that comes in at a good price point, that has all the warranty and everything you'd want to go with it, puts us in quite a strong position."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): ZOU SHUJUN, CEO of China National Eastern Tech-transfer Center
"London has advanced technology and strong abilities in research and development and technology innovation. This makes it especially attractive to Shanghai, where businesses have significant technological needs as they grow. We see London as a key international hub for innovation and hope to bring these needs to London to explore opportunities for technological cooperation and partnerships."

London Tech Week 2024 runs from June 10 to 14. As the largest tech event in Europe, it has attracted over 25,000 attendees from more than 140 countries.
