Filmed from Balen Island, at Bang Pa In, this is the scene every day as barges are towed up and down the river everyday, carrying sand and other items. The barges are not the only thong on the move, thousands of green plants are also floating down the river alongside the barges, they are slowly choking the river. These barges can spend many days on the water and workers and their families sometimes live onboard.
