This is the baffling moment grilled whole chickens are catapulted through the air and caught by a man on a unicycle at a restaurant in Thailand.

Footage shows a store employee hurling the golden brown chickens across the air while another worker balancing on a unicycle along a ramp cathes the food using skewers.

The bizarre stunt is done by the Flying Chicken Kailoyfah restaurant to attract customers to their shop in Nonthaburi province.

Each whole chicken costs 159 THB (3.5 GBP), and diners can also try their hand at catching the catapulted chickens, which are wrapped in foil to keep them from being dirtied in case they fall to the ground.

Restaurant owner Khun Saeb said: 'Customers must inform us ahead of time if they want to see the flying chicken show. We will arrange it for them.'
