AMAZING AURORA IN THE BOG PETTIGO, DONEGAL IRELAND - MOTHERS NIGHT 2016

Buy video

In a night that started of with cloud for my self and Noel Keating Photography and just briefly seen the outburst at 9:30 it was disappointing we then decided we would change location and what was to follow this morning was something stunning. The sky’s in location 2 had cleared and a Aurora band was visible too the north horizon around 11:30pm and as the morning went on we watched it move further south towards us a new it was just a matter of time before something special was about to happen at around 12:30am Monday morning the band was very close to us now and had curtains evenly spaced out moving west to east along the green band and as time went by the grew larger when suddenly at around 12:35am the most perfect display of curtains explodes to live the stretched above Cassiopeia with a nice green band below and perfect horizon pillars which where rich in red it was stunning.

To the naked eye it was the same as seen it looking at the camera rich red and green with some purples too.

This was my 7th Aurora of the yea
