Chinese woman generously offers umbrella to boy caught in sudden rainstorm
On the morning of June 11, a sudden downpour hit Zhuhai city in Guangdong province, southern China. At a traffic light intersection, a boy without an umbrella tried to shield himself from the rain with his backpack but was still getting drenched. Witnessing this, Ms. He, who was also waiting at the light, stepped out of her car despite the heavy rain and handed her umbrella to the boy.
Ms. He modestly stated that she was merely doing what she felt was right. "Seeing the child using his backpack to block the rain, as a mother, I couldn't stand by and do nothing. I just thought of giving him an umbrella. I never expected such a small gesture to draw so much attention," she said.
