Doctor horrified by huge FINGER poking out of his ice cream cone
This is the stomach-turning moment a doctor claims he found a human finger inside his ice cream in India.
Orlem Brandon Serrao, 26, ordered three Yummo ice cream cones and had the desserts delivered to his house in Malad, Mumbai, on June 12.
He tucked into one of the frozen treats to cool off from the heat wave but was baffled when he bit into the ice cream and felt a solid object on his tongue.
He spat the object out and was horrified to see what appeared to be a severed human digit embedded in his food.
He said it first he 'thought it was a nut' and had been left 'traumatised' by the incident.
Footage shows the piece of flesh sticking out of the yellow mound of butterscotch-flavoured ice cream.
Orlem said: 'After eating half of the ice cream, I felt a solid piece in my mouth. I thought it could be a nut or a chocolate piece, but still spat it out to check what it was.
'I am a doctor so I know how body parts look like. When I carefully examined it, I noticed the nails and fingerprint impressions under it. It resembled a thumb. I am traumatised.'
He sealed the finger in an ice pack and submitted it to the police while filing a complaint.
A Mumbai Police officer told local media: 'The complainant in the case, a 26-year-old doctor with MBBS degree who stays in Malad west, had ordered a butterscotch ice-cream cone of Yummo company.
'He discovered a half-inch long piece of flesh with a nail in the ice cream while consuming the ice cream after lunch.
'The piece of flesh, suspected to be a piece of human finger, has been sent for forensic examination to ascertain whether it is a part of the human body.'
A case has been filed against the Yummo brand for 'food adulteration and endangering human life'.
Officers have also sent the item to the police forensics unit for an investigation to begin into who it belongs to.
