A grass carp was found with what appeared to be a gold bracelet tightly encircling its body in central China.

The video was filmed in Xinxiang City in Henan Province on June 13.

According to reports, the grass carp was discovered by a pond owner during routine fishing operations.

The owner noticed a golden bracelet firmly lodged around the fish, squeezing its body and causing slight deformation and even traces of blood around the circular area, yet remarkably, the fish was alive.

The shimmering gold bracelet appeared to be of considerable value, though its authenticity and exact worth have not been professionally assessed yet.

The pond owner speculated that natural forces such as water currents might have caused the bracelet to move in the water and eventually ensnare the fish as it grew larger, progressively tightening its grip.

Currently, the fish has been sold by the owner, who has not disclosed the fate of the bracelet.
