STORYLINE:
A lecture on Marco Polo was held at the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb by the Croatian-Chinese Friendship Society for Cultural, Scientific and Economy Cooperation on Wednesday.
This year marks the 700th anniversary of the death of the legendary European traveler.
The Marco Polo Center in Korcula was opened in 2023 to explore Marco Polo's connection with China as he was believed to be born in Korcula in present-day Croatia.
