On June 12, 2024, in Zhengzhou, Henan, northern China, to directly demonstrate how hot the local weather was, a male blogger placed some ants on the outdoor ground.

The video shows the stunning moment of the ants stopping moving after they were tossed on the heating ground.

In an interview released on June 13, Zhengzhou Meteorological Observatory forecaster Feng Huimin stated that the highest temperature in Zhengzhou had reached 45.1°C, with temperatures in many areas exceeding 40°C.

Chengdu News reported that at noon on June 13, cities in Henan province dominated the top three spots on the national high-temperature list, with some counties and cities reaching 43-45°C, and Zhengzhou breaking 45.5°C. The ground surface temperature exceeded 70°C.
