SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): WU PING-CHANG, Young man from China's Taiwan
"I grew up in the countryside, brought up by my grandma, so I have a special connection to rural areas. In this village, the grannies only speak the local dialect, which we also speak. This makes it easy for us to blend in and connect with the villagers. We genuinely love the countryside and want to make this place better."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): WU PING-CHANG, Young man from China's Taiwan
"I think in terms of rural revitalization, the governments in the Chinese mainland have been very supportive. For me, this provides a great platform.
Rural revitalization is a broad concept, and we primarily focus on two areas: cultural revitalization and talent revitalization. Every year, our team organizes young people, including students to engage in creation activities. Since 2018, we have gradually renovated 11 to 12 old houses. After renovating the villagers' vacant old houses, we introduce new businesses, such as museums, exhibitions of rural wedding customs, and even stalls for Taiwanese snacks. We want to bring these old houses back to life in this way and make the village a better place."
