Six Palestinians died and two were injured, one of them in serious condition, as a result of a raid by the Israeli Army against the village of Kafr Dan, near Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, as reported this Tuesday (06/11/2024) the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Local sources confirmed to the Palestinian Wafa agency that the clashes broke out after the infiltration of troops into the town and that they surrounded the house of a Palestinian family which they then attacked.

The Israeli Army, for its part, identifies four of the dead as "terrorists", located, it says, in "an infrastructure" that it was using in this Palestinian village. "The military located three rifles, a pistol, cartridges and a vehicle containing numerous explosives. The confiscated weapons were handed over to the security forces," he details in a press release, adding that a helicopter also participated in the operation.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the deceased, aged between 21 and 32. Violence in the West Bank, which was already on the rise before the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, has intensified since then with frequent military raids against militant groups, attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinian villages and deadly Palestinian street attacks.

The Israeli Army intensified its already frequent incursions into the occupied West Bank after the Hamas attack on October 7 and, since then, at least 541 Palestinians have died in violent incidents with Israel, mainly with troops and a dozen of them at the hands of settlers.
