STORYLINE:
Chinese new energy technologies and products are helping boost the green transformation drive in Malaysia.
In Kuala Ketil, the southern part of Kedah state of Malaysia, stands a 260-acre photovoltaic power station.
The power plant was built by China Energy Engineering Group Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., with an installed capacity of 50 MW.
It began commercial operation in 2019.

Chinese automakers, such as Great Wall Motor (GWM) and BYD, have launched their electric models in the Southeast Asian country as the Malaysian government also encourages the development of the electric vehicle (EV) industry to help achieve net-zero emissions target.
