Toddler pushes toy car onto busy road narrowly avoiding vehicle
This is the heart-stopping moment a toddler rolled his toy car onto a busy road while his parents were away.
The two-year-old named Arter was playing alone in his family's garage when he rode his toy vehicle toward Highway 34 in Buriram province, Thailand, on June 13.
CCTV footage shows drivers honking their horns as they avoided the boy, who continued pedalling into the middle of the road.
Arter was nearly grazed by a passing lorry before he was pulled away by two frantic women.
Arter's father, Aphisit Netdamrongkoon, 25, said he was being ordained as a monk at the Wat Ban Hua Thanon temple when the incident happened.
He said: 'My relatives were busy organising my things to return to the temple. They all assumed Arter was playing inside the house. They didn't think he'd go toward the road because he had never done that before.'
A neighbour who had seen the commotion on the road then called the family, alerting them that Arter was in danger.
Aphisit said: 'The reason I shared the clip was because I wanted it to be a lesson for families with children. They should take good care of their kids and not let them out of their sight because danger can happen at any second.'
