A curious pet cat stared at a rescued tiger cub at a wildlife facility in Thailand.

Footage shows the ten-year-old tabby moggy named Little Tiger fixated on the juvenile two-month-old big cat named Tuapooh when they first met at the Khon Kaen Wildlife Breeding Centre on June 7.

Rescue officers were taking care of Little Tiger, while Tuapooh was taken there for rehabilitation after it was seized from smugglers trying to cross the border checkpoint.

The mesmerised feline watched as Tuapooh sipped milk from a bottle with the help of caretakers.

One of their caretakers said: ‘That was what happened when Little Tiger met our beloved Tuapooh.'

Wildlife smuggling is a significant problem along Thailand's borders, particularly with neighbouring countries like Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. It is a major transit hub for the illegal wildlife trade due to its strategic location in Southeast Asia and well-developed transportation infrastructure.
