I know that China is developing rapidly. Today, I saw Xinjiang also developing at a very fast pace."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): AIDEN YONAH, Editor-in-chief of The Canada Files
"I was aware of this place despite what's being said about it. It has a rich culture and has a prospering culture. So the opportunity to come here, to me, it's not just about dispelling myths but also seeing success in my own eyes.
Firstly, it would be the connection with other journalists that are oriented towards giving a look at the situation in China based on what the facts on the ground.
The second sense is to get a wide sense of Xinjiang. Now it's not only just a quick tour of Urumqi, going to multiple cities, and going across different parts of the autonomous region. So that's a fantastic opportunity that I really do appreciate.
I just came with an open mind, and I was ready to view as much as possible given the timing."
