Heroic property management team rescues stray kitten trapped in pipe in China
A property management team rescued a stray kitten trapped in a pipe in eastern China.
The heroic video was filmed in Bengbu City in Anhui Province on June 12.
A stray kitten accidentally fell into a sewer and was trapped inside for four days.
After receiving a request from the filmer, the property management team acted swiftly to locate the exact position where the kitten was stuck. They brought an electric saw and cut open the pipe.
With the help of several residents, the staff launched a quick and efficient rescue operation, successfully saving the kitten from its predicament.
When the kitten was finally pulled out, it was soaked, stiff, covered in mud, grime, and lime residue, and appeared to be barely alive. The filmer took the kitten home, cleaned it up, and fed it. The kitten she named Fubao has been recovering well with proper care recently.
According to the filmer, the kitten is one of four born to a stray cat mother in the neighbourhood and she had been feeding them daily. However, on June 9, she noticed that one kitten was suddenly missing. Initially, she thought that perhaps a kind person had adopted it.
The next day around noon, someone in the neighbourhood chat group mentioned hearing a kitten's meowing from what seemed to be inside a pipe in the building ahead. That was when she realised that the missing kitten might have fallen inside.
She searched for three days without being able to locate it. On the fourth day, someone reported hearing the kitten's cries again. She became quite anxious and started knocking on pipes one by one. Fortunately, the kitten heard the knocking and responded.
Touched by its strong will to survive, the filmer was determined to rescue it.
