A couple in Bengaluru, Karnataka, were bewildered after they found a live venomous snake inside a package they ordered from Amazon.

The duo, who both work as software engineers, had purchased an Xbox controller from Amazon but were left shocked as they found the dangerous reptile inside the cardboard.

They filmed as the spectacled cobra, a snake that possesses enough venom to kill a human, wriggled around in the packaging. The serpent was later safely released back into the wild.

Despite capturing the ordeal on camera, the couple claimed that they were left on hold for two hours by the Amazon support forcing them to manage the situation alone.

After posting it on social media, Amazon apologised to them and responded that they will have it checked.

"We're sorry to know about the inconvenience you've had with the Amazon order. We'd like to have this checked. Please share the required details, and our team will get back to you soon with an update," the company posted on X in response to the customer's video.
