Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf appeared to clash with fans following his team's disastrous 2024 T20 World Cup campaign.

Footage shows the athlete charging at a group of men, flinging his slippers behind him to cross over a hedge, as his wife tried to hold him back from starting a brawl on June 18.

Haris was allegedly heard accusing one fan of being an Indian, to which the man replied that he was Pakistani.

Another fan was reportedly heard screaming that all he wanted was to take a selfie with the cricket star.

Speaking after, Haris said: 'As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us.

'Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions.'

Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi has also demanded an apology from the fans, saying in a statement: 'Such actions against our players are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those who are involved must immediately apologise to Haris Rauf, failing which we will pursue legal action against the individual responsible.'

Pakistan suffered an embarrassing defeat against the U.S. cricket team and rival India in the group stage. The national team has come under fire from fans after making an early exit from the 2024 T20 World Cup.
