A wild cobra terrified a family when they found it hissing in the corner of their bathroom,

Footage shows the snake opening its mouth wife as it searched for a way to slither into the corner where the mop bucket and shelves were kept in Phitsanulok province, Thailand on May 30.

Rescuers were called to the property to help evacuate the deadly serpent and release it into the forest.

There was a drain under the spot where the snake was found, but the lid was closed, so the residents were unsure how it entered their home.

Resident Watchara Meesee said: ‘We found a cobra in the bathroom of my friend's house. It was so scary.'

Researchers found that 7,000 people are treated for snake bites each year in Thailand. Suchai Suteparuk from the Division of Toxicology at Chulalongkorn University reported that 30 of those die, with cobras being the biggest killer.
