USA: Marine and aviation unit rescue stranded boater

On June 17, 2024, at 11 p.m., our Marine Unit responded to a distress call near Williams Park for a disabled vessel taking on water.
Our Aviation Unit arrived on the scene and assisted in locating a boat that was taking on water near Spoil Island.
One of our Marine Unit deputies waded through shallow waters to rescue a 71-year-old boater showing signs of medical distress. He was safely transported and evaluated by HCFR at Williams Park Boat Ramp.
