Residents baffled by foam clumps near rice field in Indonesian village
Residents were baffled by foam clumps that appeared near a rice field in Indonesia.
Footage shows villagers playing near the bizarre blobs, which resembled white cotton candy, in rice paddies in Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi on June 8, 2022.
Locals said they were baffled as there was no rain the night before the foam appeared.
Resident Yulianus Massang told local media: 'The large lump of foam appeared on Wednesday (June 8) morning, but surprisingly, there was no rain on Tuesday (June 7) night.
'If you say it was caused by soapy water, it would be impossible because the foam appeared near the rice fields.
'As far as I know, this natural phenomenon just appeared, it has never happened before.'
